COURSE INFORMATION
The Level 3 Certificate in Teaching, Training and Assessment is designed for individuals working in learning and development roles, such as trainers or assessors, who are responsible for delivering training and assessing skills, knowledge, and understanding in a variety of environments, including workplaces, workshops, and classrooms.
This qualification equips candidates with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively plan, deliver, and assess learning sessions. It covers key principles of teaching, training, and assessment, along with the competencies needed to apply these in real-world settings.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, centres are recommended to carry out an initial assessment of each candidate’s skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and support effective assessment planning.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be used to meet evidence requirements, provided that the evidence is current and valid (typically within the last two years).
The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body, and it is regulated by Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The qualification specification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use in Northern Ireland.
