The ProQual Level 1 Award in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is designed for individuals who need to use the Internet as a research and investigative tool, making it suitable for beginners entering the field.
The qualification covers key topics, including:

- Internet safety during research and investigation
- Using the Internet as a research and investigative tool
- Practical applications of the Internet for research and investigation
This qualification is awarded by ProQual Awarding Body and regulated by Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
It is accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), ensuring recognised standards of quality and credibility.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, centres are advised to conduct an initial assessment of each candidate’s skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and support effective assessment planning.
