WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course prepares experienced personnel to operate effectively in complex and hostile environments across a range of operational contexts. Training is scenario-driven and adaptable, reflecting real-world deployments such as resource protection, NGO operations, post-conflict reconstruction, and humanitarian or stabilisation missions. Participants develop advanced risk awareness, protective decision-making, movement security, incident response, and professional conduct within legal and ethical frameworks.

Employment opportunities may be offered to qualified participants subject to successful IQA assessment and operational suitability.

COURSE INFORMATION

This course combines theory and practical training to assess participants’ ability to operate effectively in culturally diverse and high-pressure environments. It evaluates professional attitude, teamwork, adaptability, and decision-making while working in foreign and unfamiliar contexts under stress. Assessment for the qualification is split between practical evaluation (40%) and written assignments (60%), focused on the development of structured operational mission planning.

This course is designed for ex-military personnel; civilians without a military background must contact UCP prior to registration. Group discounts are available—please contact UCP bookings for further information.

Practical Missions & Professional Development

  • Domestic or International VIP Travel
    Learners will accompany a VIP as part of their training, gaining practical experience in client movement, protective planning, and situational awareness. International travel is available only when all documentation, travel requirements, and safety protocols are met. Participants may be responsible for some associated costs.

  • VIP Internship Placement
    Supervised exposure to professional protective work with a VIP, reinforcing training in real-world settings.

  • Recruitment Preparation
    Guidance on CV building, interviews, and operational readiness tailored for executive protection, NGOs, or corporate security roles.

  • Graduation Project
    A mandatory project demonstrating the ability to plan, execute, and debrief protective operations, including travel-based exercises when applicable.
